Ryan Babineaux, Ph.D.

Ryan holds a doctorate in Symbolic Systems from the Stanford University School of Education. While at Stanford he was involved in a number of research groups exploring the use of technology in both child and adult education, including projects at the Institute for Research on Learning and the Stanford Cognition and Learning Lab. He holds a MA in Psychology and Human Development from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a BS in computer science and psychology from the University of California, San Diego. For the last seven years he has worked as an independent multimedia developer/producer, and has developed a number of educational CD-ROM's and Internet sites for science and health education.

Terry Babineaux

Terry has been building and programming computers for the last 20 years, beginning with an S100-bus computer he built during high school. Terry studied computer science and writing at UCLA, and is a graduate of the UCLA film school. He has worked as a lead developer on a number of commercial multimedia programs and is an expert programmer in Visual Basic and C++. Terry is also an award winning photographer and writer.

Ken Baldwin, Ph.D.

Ken holds a doctorate in Cognitive Science from the University of California, San Diego, where he studied psychological, physiological, and computational approaches to learning, memory, and language processing. He also holds a BA in Linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley, and has six years experience as a programmer, technical writer, and instructional designer in the software industry.

Heather Boright

Heather has developed web-based educational content, graphical layouts, and user interfaces for commercial, nonprofit, and governmental organizations. She completed the professional certificate program in Technical Writing and Editing at the University of Washington, and has a BS in Environmental Education from Western Washington University.

Sean Erwin
Hardware Technician

Sean has been a freelance all-purpose computer technician for the past 5 years. He designs, assembles and repairs workstations, servers, and networks. He has extensive experience supporting various computing environments, from single home workstations to large corporate LANs. Sean has a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and German from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master's degree in Linguistics from the University of California, San Diego.

Craig Mestel
Web Developer

Craig is a software engineer who has worked as the lead developer on a number of commercial Internet sites. He has also been involved in applied research as a software engineer at the AT&T Research Labs, Speech and Image Processing Lab. Craig is presently finishing a double major consisting of a BS in Computer Engineering and a BA in Economics at Stanford University.

Steven A. Tainer

Steven A. Tainer served as the director of training, documentation and engineering support services departments in Silicon Valley firms through the 1980's. He also wrote and produced a twenty-tape video training course in computer graphics modeling and animation. Before joining Bright9, he worked as a consultant for video hardware companies in the Bay Area. He specialized in mathematical logic and AI for graduate work at the University of Michigan, and has also written several dozen books in Asian Studies.
